Solid subframe bushings

This is a group buy for solid, aluminium subframe bushes. These solidly mount to the subframe and allow no movement of the subframe. Very beneficial to keep the rear end from moving around under hard cornering and acceleration.

These mounts generally require the subframe to be removed from the car to be able to be pressed in. Just be aware it is labour intensive depending on where you get them installed. We did a group buy a while back and I ended up developing a portable hydraulic tool that allows the subframe mounts to be pressed in without subframe removal.

I did a bit of research on solid subframe mounts and they're quite expensive. I came across a company called Private Label Manufacturing, which are selling solid subframe mounts which look identical to the Turner motorsport subframe bushes. The parts look high quality and well made.

These will fit M3, 1M and non M (135i/335i) rear subframes. Some people will be concerned with noise, but if you look at the F8x M2/M3/M4 the subframes are solidly bolted to the body, and they're factory road cars which have to work on the road without nasty noises. Have fitted these to a few cars now, and the NVH increase is not really noticeable over poly mounts, which barely increase noise levels. I found even compared to polyurethane upgraded mounts, the solid mounts really improve the steering response and chassis reaction. These would be a massive upgrade over stock ones.

I have contacted PLM for group buy pricing and is as follows:

5 sets
Retail $299 USD
Special $250 USD
Your cost 30% off - $175 USD

10 sets
Retail $299 USD
Special $250 USD
Your cost 35% off - $162.50 USD

Shipping cost:
$80 for 5 sets ($16 USD per set)
$105 for 10 sets ($10.5 USD per set)
by USPS Priority Mail International.

Will be approximately $191 USD ($281.78 AUD) shipped if we get 5 people and 173 USD ($255.22 AUD) if we get 10 people

This pricing puts it even cheaper than the Nolathane 49202 or Whiteline KDT917 polyurethane parts!

We will be doing a minimum of 5 people with a max of 10. Customs charges should be a non issue, the company is willing to work with us regarding customs declaration values.

Some pics from the previous group buy round. Pics include an E82 1M, an E92 335i with M3 subframe and my E82 135i.

The portable hydraulic ram really pressed the bushings in easily
