Door handle wont go back in place i hit the spring like your supposed to and nothing happens

I had a similar problem where the spring inside didn't fully lock in place when I pulled handle. I assume this is maybe you're issue as well? Just get a pick tool with angle and pull the inside handle part out until it locks in place. Then place the handle and trigger the release and it should work.
