Need replacement for my rear KW V1

Hi everyone,

So I bought a BMW 335 xdrive coupe 2009 that came with KW V1. Sadly, rear shock is blown after rolling in a bad pothole. So, I would like to buy only the rear shocks from KW, but they don't appear on their website. I cannot warranty them since I'm not the original owner. If that's not possible, I hear that rear bilstein b8 could make a good replacement.

Can you guys guide me in this?

Thank you!

I can't help other than to suggest keep digging deeper in this forum. I've definitely read a thread where someone replaced their rear KWs with bilsteins, or Koni, or something. You'll find it.

Very surprised that no one had to replace their shocks on their kw's, I guess I'm the only one with blown shocks

Just shoot them an email, you can buy the individual shock. I also have a single sealed rear ST shock if you're not in a rust prone area that i could sell you for cheap.

Well, I just talked with someone at KW and they are selling the rear shocks for 278US EACH + shipping and taxes. I find that extremely high only for shocks. I'm almost tempted to buy some Bilstein B8 and call it a day. I sent a message to ST to see if they are cheaper

Damn, ST is 210$ for each shock. That's very high imo. I'll order some B8 and report back on how they feel. I guess I'll be among the first to try it.

Way too expensive. Yes, Bilsteins will work well and last longer too.
