I did serch first about this but apart the obious (water pump) didnt find anything.

the water pump works, it was recently changed and I just did a coolant bleed and it worked fine, but once in a while the car overheats, the display shows me that and the fans kick in and a minute after the car works again normal.

i have been monitoring whit a OBDlinkCX and the OBDlink app, the cars runs normaly at 220f and sometimes it goes up to 245f and theres when the car protects itself, turns on the fans and goes down to 220 and sometimes even to 200.

the previous owner change the water pump recent, I dont know if he changed the thermostat (I just ordered one, still wating to come) or if its a sensor problem or what.

I have been aboiding this by turning on the heater when OBDlink shows me the engine going over 240 and it helps, but I want a permanent fix.

That is oil temperature correct? It's not overheated then. I'm from Europe so we use celsius and mine is N53 but it shouldn't make a difference. Normal operating temp is between 100-120 C (212-248 F). These engines like to run hot, they are more efficient that way. In cold temperatures mine is really not going higher than 100c in warm it kind of bounce in that range ussually at 110C (230F).
Mine warms up in around roughly 15km (9-10 miles) if you take short trips on regular bases and don't heat it up, thats where problems with PCV system begins. Ofc how fast will it heat up will depend of how many starts stops you make, how spirited are you driving, rpm range and outside.

Edit: If that is actually water/coolant temperature then you might have thermostat issue ibwould guess.

Are the fans turning on before the overheat? I'd start by testing for proper fan operation....?
