Dinan wheels for the e90/e92 are very expensive, more so than even most of the BBS forged, and I have BBS forged! they are 19x10, 19x8.5 I believe.

If the price is competitive, and this is real, there's a new sheriff in town, and his name is the same as the old sheriff.
Not until we see some more times for this; one thing that's been great about the PROcede is that it's not b.s.; many ppl have not only duplicated Shiv's dyno HP/TQ figures, but also the 1/4 mi. track results as well. If this Dinan DME flash is real, then I suspect we'll see some PROcede (v2.0) 335i vs. Dinan 335i tests and subsequent thread discussions in the future. :rocks: The other question of course is cost and 'bang for your buck.'

Hey, in the end, competition is always good.

Agreed!

And I did say IF this is real, and it didn't cost an arm and leg, etc...

I just checked their website, the 335 exhaust is priced high at $1899, but not as much as I thought it would be.

Ewww...nasty comments. Don't be surprised if he doesn't show up here since his car is supposedly Dinan's "beta test" car...or not.

You know the other thing that's very suspect about all of this is the fact that he lists his car as a 6MT, not 6AT. So far, the 6ATs have been getting a little better ETs since the Auto is much easier to launch than the 6MT. Either this guy is Mario Andretti in disguise or something is a miss.

Hmm, it's interesting forsure but I'll stay a skeptic until I see a vid of a run. Agreed that they probably had the track very well prepped.

Dinan is definitely working on it.....

An M5board member visited Dinan a couple of months ago and they were working on a white 335i.

I fully believe Dinan will have a 335i flash program for more power. This is their roots! Plus this will not violate warranties as many BMW dealers are also Dinan dealers.

With the M5 / M6, BMW was futzing around with the software to prevent tuning. There was speculation that they implemented a checksum on the engine map so no mods would be necessary.

All speculation except I am pretty confident Dinan is working on the 335i.

Well, as I said in my first reply in this thread....
With the mods he has, sounded right to me.

15 psi boys that's got to be good for 20-30 rwhp over PROcede v1.47 alone.

I would expect PROcede v2.0 with the same mods this guy had to do the same times.

But I still bet he's got the CDV delete but didn't update that part.
I've ran guys in their 6MT 335i's and they can't launch that hard with CDV in.

I also agree, this was probably a private track rental and the track was prepped really well, with lots of VHT on the track for good launches.

But what it comes down too is it's still an ECU FLASH.
So even if it's only $1000 it isn't reversible whenever you want it or removable. Therefore you can't sell it.

If this is real, its pretty awesome for 95 degree temps. Not sure what the altitude is there, but the DA cant be great on a day like this.
If its really someone connected to Dinan, they would have been able to afford for a private hour on the track, Dinan can just thrown the expense into R&D costs.

Again, as I stated in my first reply that's the only thing that threw up a red flag for me.
I'm confident he has a CDV delete in order to do that kind of a launch.

Dinan could very well of hired a driver to make those passes too.

Well, if it's legit or not it has people talking about Dinan. I'd say mission accomplished on their end.

True, since I was in contact with them before Shiv got his 335i to adapt the XEDE (and of course, then the PROcede); they had nothing then and many, many months later, they still had nothing. However exciting or controversial this may be, until this is all confirmed, they still have nothing.

Hi guys,
Dinan is here located in Northern California. Not sure why they would do beta testing on the other side of the country.

Hmmm, interesting point. But don't you have beta testers around the country?

Only after we do local testing. For instance, right now, all v2 cars are local. But everyone runs their business differently.
