Sold: Improved Racing Remote Oil "True" Thermostat

The N54 thermostat starts to open at 110C, however never completely allows full flow to the oil cooler(s). This is purely an emissions and economy measure unideal for the longevity of the motor especially if you track, roll-race, happy-lap or even hard mountain drive it.
Aftermarket "thermostats" are not thermostats, they are bypass valves and you will lose cold warmup, akin to deleting the thermostat altogether. Only suitable for track-only cars that don't see many cold starts/heatcycles.

Straight copy paste of my invoice from what's included:
1 x Improved Racing FSM & FSC Thermostat Rebuild Kit
- Thermostat Type: FSM
- Thermostat Temp: 205°F FSM-RKIT
1 x High-Flow Engine Oil Cooler Thermostat
- Fitting Size: No Fittings
- Thermostat Temp: 205°F FSM-185-215
1 x Improved Racing FSM & FSC Thermostat Rebuild Kit
- Thermostat Temp: 185°F
- Thermostat Type: FSC FSM-RKIT

96C thermostat and spare 85C, 96C thermostats for testing. Never ended up using it, brand new.

$325+pp

Changing this (and other threads across bimmerpost) to sold.

Worth doing given how the PSP oil cooler is huge and causes the car to heat up very slowly.

Can vouch for gmx (Brian) good guy
