E91 rust...

Hi guys

Been away from the fold for a couple of years but currently toying between buying an e91 325d or an f31 320d.

The E91 I’m considering is a Le Mans 2007 e91 but it’s got bubbling on the rear arches (photos below)

From my last couple and experience of others, I was under the assumption that e9x don’t tend to have rust issues..

Do we think this has had a poor repair or are they prone to going? It’s the front of both rear arches.

The car is cheap enough for me to consider getting them sorted in a few months but I’m reluctant to spend £2500 on a car that potentially has a past if it’s been repaired.. it’s HPI clear.

Thoughts on the rust?

Cheers

Open the door and look on the inside or open the fuel cap and look at the paint work, it will be very clear if it's been repainted as you'll see the imperfections of where it's been masked up.

But, how an accident would have caused repainting on both arches seems a bit weird :/

Yeah I agree, just never seen one with rust like that. I decided to avoid it as something didn’t sit right with me.

Ended up picking up a high mile f11 in the end, just seemed better value for money...

F10's rust on the door edges but they are under warranty should you have it. Google bmw f10 door corrosion bmw5.
