Did reinstalled recently and was able to code simple stuff with expert/dummy used tool32 today with success but when i wanted to check simple thing as engine coolant temp i got following error in INPA?
Quick search didn't explain solution to me, asking OP if he might have a guide for me! I repeat NCS and Tool32 working, its throwing error only when i go to ENGINE and DDE6, will check if any other modules under E90 can be worked with |

I've followed all of the instructions on this and got to the end, but how do I actually launch NCS Expert?!
Am I missing something really obvious? In the 64 bit files I copied over for it, there are no launch files for the application! |

Open up your NCSEXPER 64 folder, then open the BIN sub folder and you will see the application in there. Always open it from that process. I tried copying the application to the desktop and kept getting all kinds of errors

I installed everything as per the instructions, when I use INPA to read my DDE6 it gives me a "Error Compiling Script File!" message on my screen.
What is the solution? |

When I extract the E89.rar to a folder in my desktop I get this error. Any way to repair this or is the file supplied corrupted?

I've tested the file in 7zip before extracting and still has the same CRC failed error. It has to be the download file from the host site. I can't redownload the E89.rar because it says I've reached my limit, can we get this in google drive or something? Don't want to pay $10 for a 3 hour download.

This by far is the easiest installation guide out there...once you get all the files/folders. Installation went perfect and imported the Daten files. Now I just need to connect it to the car to see if its actually working (will wait for warmer weather...its 20 degrees out now).

Soo, no response to the virus my computer found in the files? I guess I will go another route. I was hoping to avoid problems like this on the forum, vs a random website.

disable your antivirus during the unzip. NCSdummy isnt a threat, its a scaled back version of NCSexpert. It's probably seeing this as a duplicate execution file and thinking it is a virus. If you want to go full Jack Sparrow and determine if there is malicious code embedded you can read the code as a txt file.

Installation indeed is very convenient and fairly easy! BUT ONCE AGAIN, trying to solve trouble diagnosing engine!
Did reinstalled recently and was able to code simple stuff with expert/dummy used tool32 today with success but when i wanted to check simple thing as engine coolant temp i got following error in INPA? Quick search didn't explain solution to me, asking OP if he might have a guide for me! I repeat NCS and Tool32 working, its throwing error only when i go to ENGINE and DDE6, will check if any other modules under E90 can be worked with The files that this error is showing ARE present in both INPA folders as i read somewhere on the other forums! |

Got everything set up just fine, thanks for the clear instructions. I am using a laptop from work with Windows 7. Is there any risk of harming my computer by using any of these programs or coding my BMW?
Edit: Also, after installing, I couldn't get the NCS Expert shortcut on my desktop to open on my 64 bit machine. I looked at the shortcut's properties and it looks like it was trying to open up "C:/NCSEXPER" when I had the NCSEXPER_64 folder in C: instead. I renamed the folder to "NCSEXPER" and it seems to open fine. Is this the right step to do? Thanks in advance! Last edited by rockflageagle; 01-10-2017 at 03:17 AM.. |

You should have renamed the NCSEXPER_64 folder to just NCSEXPER. But, you're fix works just as well. |

Hey guys, I need a little help getting this up and running. I've only seen the same issue in one other instance and I checked the INPA.INI file and it looked like all the text was there (current information, though)
Link to other instance: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=721302 I've set up INPA twice now (each time fully removing it from the computer) and had the same issue both times. It seems to be a language file that I'm missing. Expert-tools is in German. -I'm running windows 10 in parallels -program is in windows 7 compatibility mode -the only daten I have uploaded is for the E46 -INPA fxx has been moved to the correct folder -New EDIABAS have been combined with the the original EDIABAS folder Car is connecting to the program, but I have no tab options (sorry for the crappy pics) Any help would be great! Thanks! |

So when you told me to do this, I checked the C: and there was an EC-APPS folder already in it. When you install the program it creates two EC-APPS folders. The one I modified was placed in the INPA folder on my desktop. So one was not changed....then important one. I found this out by opening the EC-APPS that was on the C: and realized that it did not have the new INPA_fxx folder that was supposed to be there included in the new download. Did what you said and copied the new EC-APPS folder onto the C: and BOOM! All works! Thank you!! |
