Removing the E90 grill eyelids / eyebrows ?

Conducted a search but didn't come across anyone removing the eyelids / eyebrows off their stock E90 kidney grill. Is it even possible or does a new set of grills need to be purchased? And if it is possible, anyone have a pic of this mod?
