19s (Style 230) for 335 coupe in USA
Does anyone know why styling 230 is available it seems everywhere except US? Incidentally I dont remember there being an option on either of my last 2 E46 coupes in the US for 19s either...
Will they install the 230s at the dealer if you order them seperately, or is that wheel like unattainable?

I oredered Style 230s from Crown BMW in Greensboro.
Staggered for a little over $1600 plus shipping. BMW apparently goes with Potenze RFT, but unfortunately, the size Potenzas that fit these rims are not sold on the US market. This is the most likely reason I've found (after my two weeks of "research"). In any case, you can order the rims through any BMW dealer. I then ordered Eagle GS-D3s from Tire Rack. I think they're still on sale for the rears. Less than $1K shipped. FWIW, the Crown guys kick ass- great customer service, and the rims were packaged perfectly. They arrived to me here in Germany without so much as 1 knick. If you need any more info, let me know. Springer |

So, I ordered them from the US. We can get things shipped over here via the US Postal Service very cheap. Shipping for all 4 rims with $500 insurance each cost only $160- and they arrived in only 4 days after they were shipped! Further, tires from Tire Rack were only $830 and cost about $100 to ship- via the same method as the rims. All told, the 230s with Eagle F1 GS-D3's, including shipping and insurance cost less than $2,800. I figure I could sell the 189s for at least $1500, since I'm having the dealership swap them immediately after the car's arrival. I think a brand new set of OEM rims and rubbers should be worth that much to someone. About the shipping back to Germany-- I had the same question. But, according to Crown- BMW does not do third party shipping. So Crown had to order the rims, received them from Germany, then shipped 'em right back via USPS. Actually, BBS makes the 230 rims, so I don't know their origin (USA or Germany?). If they were made in the US, then that's two trans-atlantic trips they've made so far... I wish I could get airline tickets so cheap. Springer |

$1600 for the rims is not a bad deal at all... I would think they are much closer to 2k...
Ill have to keep that in mind come springtime when I will probably be looking to go up to 19's... |

Honestly, I think I'm going to try to sell them before I leave Germany in 3 months. The Germans have to pay so much for the OEM rims here after taxes (16%, BTW), I might be able to get about $2,000 US. Hoping, anyway. The only thing I've got going against me is that we're heading into winter. Springer |
