Just like the real M's, the armrest flips open to the sides, instead of just one hinge on the back like the armrest in your car.

OP Very nice car, post some better pictures when you get a chance. Le Mans and Estorial are BMW's best blue colors.

The armrest opens as one, with the driver's side half sliding back and forth on my sedan.

Gratuitous shot of poverty-pack M-sport 17's. I tried the 18's but they affected the small bump absorption a little more.

Nice, love the colour and the M-sport pkg.

I'm liking those wheels too but they must be tough to clean!

It has nothing to do with a real M. All Non-US / Canada spec E9X's get that slip arm rest. In US we can easily order this part and add it to our cars. There is a DIY on this forum.

Yes it is i love the this combination, just a bit more maintenance
The m-sport changes the looks of the car front and back which i love very much and the sports seats hold you in very firm with elec, adjustable bolsters.

Iam amazed that bmw uses real aluminum and chrome auto paddle shifters
Because i had a lexus IS200 IS300 IS250 before i changed camps with my 335 coupe and these little differences from lexus chrome plated plastic to bmw real metal including the allum, dash.

IMO, and I hope I don't offend the OP, but I just don't get the point of getting an M package (unless it adds to the suspension). It just seems similar to putting an M badge on the back of your car in hopes that people can't tell the difference and think you have an M.

The m-sport does have tuned suspension by M division as in the Australian brochure and it handle like its on rails no body role and very firm but not rough.

The M-sport package adds sports seats, 15mm lowered sports suspension, light alloy wheels, anthracite headlining, M-sport steering wheel, body kit and M-sport badging here and there.

In Australia it is fair value - upgrading wheels/tyres and sports seats alone costs a similar amount.

It is obviously not an M - no bulge, no front quarter vents, different body kit etc.

But it is still good for this stuff
