Gotcha I’ll run it again and make sure it’s all the way down.

I had 2 pulls today, dtc was off and I tried to squeeze it down as much as I could!

Not a good tune for your setup.

Your AFRs are perhaps little lean (12.5) at the top and yet the strongly negative STFTs indicate the DME is pulling fuel.

You've got timing corrections on multiple cylinders suggesting too much advance, too low octane or a mechanical problem

Are you sure about your ethanol mix?

LPFP is marginal, dropping below 50 on run but rail pressure is OK so the LPFP is not the cause of the other issues.

On a positive note, you did get the traction control off and you did keep the accelerator pedal down so these are valid logs. Boost control is fine.

My 2 cents; go back to v7 MHD maps if you have them and start by making sure everything is working well without E85.

Okay reason why I had the v9 map is because they support custom trans tunes which I also have on my car. I had the v8 version and the shifts were horrible so ill see if I can get s beta stage 1 map

Hey guys. I'm new to the e90 posts. Been lurking for every since I got my car. I got a log today and wanted to see what you guys think.

I have VRSF catless DPs and exhaust, intakes, 7.5" intercooler, and MHD stage 2+ e30 tune.

It feels like my boost isn't spooling up as fast as I'd expect.

Let me know what you guys think!

It might be possible that you just loaded up the new tune? A lot of people have been experiencing weird throttle characteristics with new v9 maps not learning correctly. Try driving the car a while without being too harsh on it to allow it to relearn. I think MHD just screwed up some learning coding I'm guessing

The guys from 0-60 times in Australia on YouTube posted a video where they had weird throttle problems and they went away over time. Check there last 2 or 3 vids. It's in there somewhere

I just got this car and this is the first pull I've done in it. It's on JB4 Map 1 and only has catless downpipes so far.

The car felt like it was taking forever to make boost. I had to set the wastegate adjustment to 900rpm to get them to stop rattling. Could that be causing the lag?

Also: If anyone has any tips about the major things I should be looking for here, these maps are new to me!

Add load target to logs. It will tell you if you are getting throttle closures due to load target and actual being a delta of zero...

Your barometric pressure says 14.9 psi.. where are you death valley?

Its actually spooling fine. It gets to about 3K and your DC drops down (as it drops to fuel mode 2) bc you are nearing boost target (relatively speaking),

As RPM goes up boost mean tracks boost target within about 1.5 psi.

It is pulling a little fuel on the short term trims and I would think it would need to be adding it.
Most other things look good that I see. Maybe get a little big of time after it shifts into 4th in there.

Isn't 14.9 completely normal? I love right by the ocean at practically sea level. 14.7 would be what I understand as the world average at sea level?

Ok good to know. The car felt strong. I've been modding it tons over the year ive had it and this is the fastest it's felt. I just thought maybe spool should have been quicker. But that might be my butt dyno out of wack.

Cant figure out this boost leak and I suspect its my turbos, no wg rattle at all or smoke. Running stage 2+ v8.1 and have ic/cp/dp/exhaust/intakes. All vac lines have been gone thru and have done boost leak test and smoke test. Really stumped on this one

I notice you have a boost limit set up? Is it possible to remove it and try again?

Tried v9 stage 2+ 93 octane, (mixed 100 octane with 91ACN to achieve)

timing corrections across the board and some overboosting…. Im assuming the gas quality sucks in socal, even with "100 octane race gas". I got fresh plugs and coils..

The car feels faster for sure, ill take it back down to the 91 octane map for now, curious to try the e25 map though.

what do you guys think?

14.7 should be zero attitude
A real reading of 14.9 is about -350'

So just out of curiosity, maybe look at a local barometer sometime when yall have had a normal weather cycle for a day or two (no fronts close by - leaving or approaching). Maybe yall just had a front close by.. but still a little bigger delta than I would think.

100 octane race gas? Its not likely but sometimes the Specific gravity can be different for two fuels (hard to say if its more likely when talking noleads that have different octanes)

If you just tried that mix I would drive it a bit longer - I would think corrections should be very low - and cali gas isnt really THAT bad (Canada 91 can be -- real BAD.) . Otherwise, try another local 91

That's interesting...yeah I googled after your last post. We did have high pressure wave come in last week. Probably along those lines.

I'm honestly not really aware of atmospheric pressure other than sea level is 14.7. Hahaha

I've burned through half a tank. I just think this 93 map is too aggressive for me car. Idk anything about specific gravity, not trying to become a chemist right now, I just need a stable and safe map for my car lol

I switched to 91 v7 stage 2+ and I'll do some runs tomorrow

What it do y'all! I switched to v9 stage 1 93 and this is a run I managed to log. By is that newtons / meter reading accurate on the grph? Is that crank or to the wheel?

Well, its not bad as an inital log.

But really this will tell you more - https://datazap.me/u/volfwaley/stage...-22&zoom=31-65

You got a 3 degree retard in the middle of the third gear pull. Its prob gonna happen on more than just once cyl after the shift into 4th. Some reasons for this is you are showing a lambda AFR of mid 12s and short term trims are pulling fuel. That combined with your ambient air of 14.1psi means you are prob at like 1100 foot elevation in tx.. somewhere lubbock I Guess.

So, an Off the shelf map especially on with an ethanol mix will cause some fuel mixture issues at higher rpms. Your options are custom tune, or back down a bit...

I think I know where this is going next..

Oh, and you only had it floored for about 4 secs in 3rd. Best thing to do is roll into it in second at about 3K and run second to 6250-650, leave it floored thru 3rd, and get a little of 4th gear.. Yes, its prob not going to be legal, but thats gonna give you the best load for 8 to 10 secs.
;-)

You say you flashed stage 1 93 octane but the log says stage 1 E30, so that could explain the timing corrections...?
