Random car sketches...

I'm bored so I figured I might as well post up some of my random car sketches. I've got so many cuz I'm drawing them during most of my classes anyways. I'll update this from time to time.

Here's one of this random X6-ish sorta thing that I made. I don't usually draw rear 3/4 cuz I think the perspective is hard to get right with the rear quarter panel area. Anyways, ya. Tell me whatcha think. (Sorry for pic quality. This BB Pearl has a horrible camera)

Btw, post up any if you sketch as well.

Looks like it could be a good redesign for the next generation 6 series coupe actually. Like the rear of this much better than the current 6.

Reminds me of an Aston Martin rear.

This isn't really a sketch. It's a painting I did of an e92 about one year before the car was even ordered. I was obsessed with it and decided to paint one in studio art. Here's what was a work in progress.

P.S. Paint sucks.

If only I knew how to render these in Photoshop...it's just so complicated for me. So many layers involved. You have to know how light reflects on certain types of surfaces. It'd be the next level but right now I'm struggling with it.

Thanks for the compliments guys.

Cars4lyfe, thanks, and yes my main motivation is Bangle/Van Hooydonk. In fact my dad's 645Ci is what inspired me to design concepts and all that stuff. There's something about the complex designs of flame surfacing that makes it easy to implement into sketches. That's probably why most of my sketches look somewhat unoriginal, although I do makes some pretty random more concept-ey sketches. I'll try to find one right now...

rendering your drawings on photoshop is just transfering your daring into onion paper. And split your drawing into layers using onion paper, have them scanned and edit them in photoshop. Thats how my brother does his drawings in photshop. And make sure to use dark markers if your transfering your drawing into onion paper, cause sometimes scanners cant see the fine lines.

Here's another one that I'll upload now that I have it on my comp (uploaded it on that one guy's rendering thread already).

It's my prediction of what a facelifted e92 could look like. A predictable facelift, but I think it could work. Didn't finish the front though...

Here's my rendition of the next Z4 (Z5?) based off of the prototypes we've seen and me just adding some changes here and there. It's also not finished.

I was trying to think of a way to add in a flying buttress to the C-pillar, as seen in the 599.
