Looking to lower my 09 335i. NEED HELP/ADVICE!!!

So I have a 2009 BMW 335i sedan and I'm looking to lower it. I don't wanna slam it just give it a nice stance. Comfartability is a must and can't be too expensive. Roughly $1,500 max. I need help on if coilovers are the way to go and good brands that are durable and trustworthy. All advice is much helpful

We would recommend Eibach springs paired with either Bilstein B8 or Koni Yellow shocks. The B8s are not adjustable; the Konis are manually adjustable. Springs will lower your car approx 1". We recommend a complete kit that replaces your strut mounts, spring pads, bumpstops, bearing protectors, mounts, and all the other wear and tear parts so that you do it once, and do it right. No surprises. Here is the Koni/Eibach kit:

Bilstein B12 lowering kit - $800.00

Add about $200/250 for surrounding hardware. You won?t need bump-stops. Bilstein gives you those for the rear, and they are built into the strut for the front.

Do yourself a favor and spend $400.00 on new tie rods and M3 control arms for the front.

You will not be disappointed with the parts above. It will feel and drive like a whole new but different car.

Im running H&R lowering springs with a set of Koni yellows
Is pretty low but still able to get over 95% of speed humps and driveways

I just put B12s on my e92. Zero difference so far in ride comfort. Getting an alignment done tomorrow. IMO anybody debating this should just get the B12 and surrounding hardware. Dont listten to the nay sayers who without trying this setup say it rides harsh.

BTW, Socket's ride looks beautiful. A perfect stance, and those rims. Perfect.

How long should one wait to get an alignment done after installing new springs and shocks?

Should you wait until the springs have settled (a month or so)?

Chris,

On an E92 335is (so I assume, same as a LCI 335i with M-Sport package), how much would the B12 kit drop the car? I can find measurements on Bilstein's site but I believe that's relative to the non-sport suspension.

The B12 will lower your car 1" compared to a factory new sport suspension. However, since everyone usually replaces a sagging, worn suspension, they usually only see a half inch drop +/-.
