Better option for stock N55 car-BM3 or JB4?

Just sold my toy car and now looking to add a little hp to my daily driver-335i. I dont plan on doing much to the car but would at least like to start with a tune so which would be a better option between the 2?

Jb4 because bm3 doesn't support E9x. Bm3 is for the f30 n55.

JB4 is a piggy back and not a full software flash. I would recommend doing MHD if you aren't looking to tinker much further than a basic map. Easy flash, easy diag, and plenty of customization options.

I second mhd, it's the bm3 for e series. Unless you're getting a second hand jb4, mhd will probably be cheaper. If you do plan to get a jb4 make sure you have the right harness.

I have a n55 harness B for sale if interested

Agree. My JB4 is fun but it does take some figuring out if your going to mess with it, also I can't adjust things I'd like to, like exhaust burbles

For a nice quick upgrade. JB4 hands down. It will surprise you, and the features are excellent....

+2.

Great features, fairly easy to install, solid power, and if/when you decide you want more, you can just go for hardware and don't need to get a new tune (except for the back-end flash which is probably a good idea at some point).

And if warranty is a factor for you, it's easy to remove without a trace.
