N55 Flex Fuel Options

What is the best/easiest to use flex fuel option for the N55? Have done a little research and it looks like Fuel-It and Motiv are the primary options. Anybody running Motiv flex fuel on N55?

Appreciate any thoughts! Currently 2011 N55, FBO, PS2, stage 2 LPFP, MHD. Looking to utilize pump gas on long trips and my Pure Stage 2 with ethanol when I can!

The only full flex option, tuning-wise atm is JB4 + BEF + PI.

Wedge/MHD are supposedly working on something for MHD flash-only (probably similar to the current motiv offering, which is n54 only). This was due out sometime this year, but haven't heard of any updates since they announced it on some E-series MHD update post.

Thanks for the response! That's disappointing however, I will have to get in touch with MHD and ask about the progress.

Sorry don't mean to jack this thread since it's kind of old, but it came up in my google search so might as well keep it going here. I'd like to run as much ethanol as possible on my stock turbo (I heard E40 or E50 is the max needed on stock turbo) but am confused about whether I need a LPFP upgrade, flex fuel kit, or both? I'm currently using MHD and not really interested in buying JB4, does that mean my only option for ethanol is the E30 MHD map? I feel like a custom tune wouldn't work because the ethanol blend isn't going to be consistent every time I go to the pump and get some.

MHD just came out with a ots E50 tune you can purchase through their app with the latest update. A lpfp upgrade is recommended. I'm currently running their E30 tune and it feels even more powerful than the stage 2+ tune so I imagine running even more ethanol you could squeeze out a few more ponnies.

also, you can use an ethanol mix tester and calculator at the pump. I know thats a pain. But you measure the ethanol content then calculate how many gallons of e85 and regular gas to put in. Then if youre MHD only, run the e30 or e50 map. Changing maps takes 3 min so for your roadtrip, swap back to the pump gas map!

Thanks philgli! I was trying to avoid mixing and measuring becuause I'm a lazy piece of crap...but I will probably end up going that route until a better solution comes along. if that ever happens!

evmo, get the inline e85 bluetooth device from Fuel-It. With that you have content displayed right on your phone. Regardless of how empty my tank is I can guestimate the % of both e85 and 93 needed and always come within a couple of points for my target of e50.
