NCS issue

Got the latest copy of NCS.expert and there is no e90 chassis selection on it? (It’s the first time I’ve used it) , if I try another chassis then use my chassis number, it just says chassis faulty?

As I missing something, I’m assuming there should be an e90 (well I actually need e92) ?

You choose e89 in NCS. E89 will consist of e90, e92, e93 and e82

Thanks!

I did try e89, then put chassis no in and it said chassis faulty, is there a trick to that?

Go to C:\NCSEXPER\DATEN and see what folders are there? Sounds like you didn't import the DATEN files, or the folder doesn't have the correct name.

Supposedly it has all the latest daten files in there as it was bought as a hard drive, do you know what I should be looking for?

Once I put the vin number in it gives me the message but if I tick the checksum box, it adds an extra letter, in my case a J, and then seems to read ok?, is that right or should that be left unticked?

Or is there a specific procedure to opening ncs up, ie put in cable, load ncs etc

You shouldn't be able to manually enter your chassis number, and the VIN should automatically populate once you open NCS and go through the steps to connect to your car (F1, F3, E89, CAS/FRM/NFRM).
