engine cover bolt size

anyone know the sizw etc ie M6? ..i know its a 6mm allen head but want to know the thread size and length of bolt,,cheers

They are M6 and about 20mm long with a chamfered end presumably to help it locate.

Real OEM confirms that this is exactly what they are.
It also mentions Hexavalent Chrome too if you are interested so that they resist the temptation to rust I guess unlike the ones on my Volvo which are so rusty I can barely get a Torx bit into them!

cheers,li was guessing at m6..so was a good guess,took engine cover off till i get some,,had a couple missing,one from the back piece.so i replaced that with one from the main engine cover(front) so only one bolt left for front cover..these are easily lost if not using a maget to help them out when they are at the end of there thread,,i always use a telescopic magnet,,just yesterday i dropped a scuttle panel bolt,,wouldnever of gotten it without the magnet,,should of had it on the bolt when undoing it really.

just bought some m6 20mm stainless bolts...a whopping £2,19 for a pack of 10..not bmw though..
