Put a crazy part on today.
Its not for everyone but at same stage you really need one.

I put the under tray on lol.

After getting up to 180km my O2 sensor come apart and scraped apart. ( I bought same part number rear O2 sensor, plugs are different, i shaped the plug to fit but it come loose)

Pulled spark plugs for a look. All had similar amount of carbon on them.
Was going to log some runs tonight but might go tomorrow. Try moving up to map 5 25psi.

It will be good when you go 100% e85 and see how it performs. Getting a custom tune should be easier these days with everyone staying at home.

Started logging map 6 for 22psi all good then O2 sensor stopped working.
Popped a pre cat O2 sensor.
Cant wait to pull everything off and weld in some heat resistant O2 bungs.

I need to find the leak first. Even with the 6266 the exhaust has sounded like a vs commodore.
When I find it spool will change a bit. E85 should make it good enough to sell the 6266.
Wait and see.

Had time to check O2 sensor.
It was not clipped in.
The sensor clips are 2mm to far an the wires are plugged in but the clip wont seat on either of them.

To test them I unplugged both swapped over sensor banks to read afrs. Missfired and played up for 10 seconds and went back to idling normal. Swapped banks back to the right way and both afrs reading correct.

Going back to e85. Pump fuel sucks, to hot, to slow.
Got half a tank so Ill pull a hose, 12v a pump and fill a 20L jerry can.

Interested to see how your 02s handle the heat Brule

I was running the ADV high temp sensors but one packed it in a little while back. Have been running stock 02s since and so far they are holding up fine

I did put spacers on to keep the sensor away from the heat.
If they do fail I will put the inovate or kaniwunga O2 heat sinks.

The O2 sensors are a gm bosch oem type $80aud

Went for drive.
Sick of this exhaust leak.

Im going to pull the engine and transmission out.
It will be about the same amount of work, hopefully less and a I can bolt the turbo side up in half an hour compared to 1 day.

Ill get on it tomorrow.

I think its one of the manifold gaskets. I have already removed the other parts and it sounded the same.

Started pulling engine yesterday afternoon.

On it again today.

Need to pull engine out to get more clearance around transmission, put bolt back in starter motor, fix exhaust leak, try and fit 4 inch exhaust and more.

At least you have a good work list to keep you occupied for a while Brule. That should keep you busy for a week or so. Keep us updated with the progress.

Got stuck on the drivers side engine mount. took me all day to get the engine out.

Damage for the day below.
Busted a water pipe plastic fitting, i pulled the wires out of the throttle body sensor, cut a power steering hose cause it had a one time fitting, bent a engine mount bolt.

Fair bit of work getting it out.

Now I can fix up a few little things that you cant physically do with the engine and transmission in.

Back to it tomorrow.

Pulled the transmission off and put the other starter bolt in.
Transmission and converter back in.

stripped the turbo stuff off. found the leak, cylinder 4 manifold gasket was torn during install and was leaking.

Cleaned up the tunnel and gal painted it. cut a bit of stuff out of the way.

I can start putting all the turbo side back on now.
