Talk about bad luck

So I decided to put the 335i back up for sale as we were going to buy a 4.8 x5.

Last night the car starts going into limp mode under load, having recently replaced split boost pipework to the turbos & then a couple of weeks later the low pressure fuel sensor after which the car had been running very nicely.
So I got it home, had a look around & discover that the stock charge pipe has developed a split, not happy but I suppose the stock one has held up well enough considering its been mapped since 2015 and covered 27,000 miles since.
Then this morning I start the car up & within a couple of minutes the fan starts running flat out. When being driven the fan is coming on intermittently. After taking it to the guys that look after it they diagnose faulty electric water pump. Which is really annoying considering that this will now be it's third pump having had it replaced along with the thermostat, alu bolts & coolant by a main dealer only 45,000 miles & just over five years ago at a cost of £928. The first pump lasted 65,000 miles.
Am awaiting a price back to replace water pump tomorrow. Bloody cars

Ah buddy that isn't great from your perspective.

Maybe only saving grace will be that it's a positive for a sale ad and can always add a touch more onto the price.

Water pumps aren't as expensive as previous I don't think so fingers crossed not too costly.

From when I did it, I think the pump was £300 and the thermostat £90.

Thanks for the replies.
I had a price back today from my local garage of £675 to replace the water pump, not including the thermostat & £308 to supply & fit a stock bmw charge pipe, both prices + VAT which works out at £1180

ML Performance are selling a VRSF oem replacement charge pipe for £166, which seems reasonable although a additional £10 for a new o ring seems a bit expensive.

Am awaiting a price back tomorrow from my indie, he told me it isn't necessary to replace the thermostat when changing the water pump, last time the pump was changed BMW Cooper told me the stat had to be changed at the same time regardless but then I suppose the stealers would say that.

It's good practice to do the stay too as you have to take it off to do the pump so they shouldn't charge any additional labour to do it (well BMW certainly didn't charge me any extra)

I had the water pump replaced along with having the garage fit a VRSF charge pipe which seems to have made the car sound even better. Unfortunately I am still getting eml under hard acceleration.
Wastegates have been sounding much worse these last couple of weeks so I suspect the turbos finally need to be replaced after 110,400 miles.
The leaking sump gasket has been irritating me for a while & drops of oil are appearing on my garage floor, so as the subframe needs to be dropped to do the sump gasket thought it made sense to renew the turbos at the same time.
The car has been running very nicely & then a whole lot of stuff goes wrong or needs replacing all at once, oh & the car insurance needs paying tomorrow

Doesn't sound great, when my cic failed I just got intermittent red screen but everything else seemed to work at the time. Suggest you get codes read or just guessing really

Good stuff. You don't want electronics problems in these cars. I once had my Idrive screen just turn completely orange. I have CIC. I sh*t my pants at the thought of the cost to fix it but luckily when I turned the car off it went back to normal.
