Two local Euroshops in Dallas, TX quoted me a labor only price to have my e92 coupe lowered on H&R Sport Springs. Also the subsequent front and rear alignment. Eurosport Automotive wanted $850 (700 for springs repl and 150 for alignment). EuroConnection wanted $600 (400 for the springs repl and 200 for the alignment). From what I read so far this is absurd.

I am having new Iforged Wheels / Toyos mounted and balanced as well. Both were about the same for this scope of work from 100 to 150.

Questions: I'll continue to look for another shop, but do I need to go through such a specialized shop that concentrate on BMWs, Porsche's etc.? Do these quotes seem unreasonable?

I just went through the same thing. I called about 15 high end repair shops. Most of them were in the range you are stating... I ended up finding a really good shop who did the install for $300, then pointed me to a good tire shop that did the alignment for $100.

Someone on this board suggested I call Meineke, he had his e90 springs done there and said it was fine...

Pretty much same here in Seattle. I got quoted 4hrs @ $95/hr plus $100 for the alignment from just about every shop I called.

But we don't have a ton of tuning shops like SoCal does, so whatcha gonna do?

Go Rent Spring compressors from AutoZone for $10 and do it yourself, it's not rocket science.

Mount and Balance usually is abour $25/30 a wheels and the alignment should be $100.
