The Coupe chassis is very stiff and I found that when I drove one, you'd be surprised at how well a MINI does ride with the 15" wheels, does this Coupe have RFT's by any chance?

Also when I was there not many sold......[/QUOTE]

Not sure if it had the RFTs but it wasn't a nice ride at all.

Only about 375 miles but total town driving. Hardly any dual carriageway and certainly no motorways. Not too bad I thought.

Well as I said, it was total stop/start town driving!

More seriously I fully expect that average to go up at least another 10mpg once I get a better mix of driving situations.

32.6mpg isn't great but I guess if it's all town and in the recent freezing weather that engine probably never got close to running temperature. Hope your not going to be doing the same kind of driving in the 330d. The figures will be horrible.

Anyway, Radio 4. I approve of this.

This. The return of a temperature gauge surprised me with how long these engines take to warm up.

I have been unusually local over the last couple of weeks, not much more than a commute and a bit of pootling around during the day. I've got a run coming up on Sunday. We'll see how things go.

You know, I''ve just realised that you are the rich that had the blue e91 as your avatar. The name didn't twig, it was all the cleaning stuff in the pics of the cars.

How long until delivery now? I'm supposed to be picking my 125 up tomorrow.

Week 6 according to my dealer. In the real world I guess that's beginning of February. I got a 'Still week 6. Merry Christmas' email the other day which I took to mean 'Nothing's changed. Leave me alone'.

Good luck tomorrow. Have fun and post some pics. I do rather like the new 1er.

As I'm a spawny get I found out this week that my car will be coming with DAB. It was a £300 option when I ordered so didn't bother but they're changing the standard spec while mine's in build. Sweet!

But are you managing to avoid the price hike? They've added some new bits as standard but added more than the sum of those parts to the base price and the low APRs have now more than doubled.

According to the new online finance calculator my car should be costing me around 50% more per month.

It's on business contract hire and I guess once you've signed on the dotted line that's it. My monthly cost certainly isn't increasing.

And anyway, talking of new cars, where the hell is yours? Not a pic to be seen!

:edit:

Oh and still on track for week 6 delivery too.

Had another update this week. Floods, earthquakes and potential snowmageddon aside the car should be at the dealer last week in January or first week in February. Just a little giddy.

Now just to sort out one or two little accessories. I've even managed to secure a two day pass off Mrs rich1068.

The only thing now is that the Xdrive 330d has been introduced, that has to be a bit of a no brainer to go for over the 330d. Only downside is a little loss in mpg but slightly quicker 0-60 and all wheel drive traction helps not only in winter but also wet conditions.

And I haven't read a single, itty, bitty, little thing about the F20 125d. I can't even imagine what one looks like. Any idea?

I try not to think about it. However, when I do think about it I imagine that a driving God like me will prefer the 'purity' of RWD and that the Xdrive system dilutes the BMW experience. Or something. Dab of oppo etc etc.
