New owner in Chicago

Just thought I would throw up a post. Ran across a member on my way home after I picked the car up in Miami Saturday morning. Love the car, huge upgrade from my old 2002 325Ci. Anyways heres the car

2009 6AT 335i
M-Sport/Premium/Cold/BMWcomputerwheel

And a couple pics I snapped on the trip home when I picked her up, and when I stopped for some food.

Look forward to meeting some of you, cheers!

Thanks guys, really can't say enough about how much the car has impressed me so far. New and definitely still learning, but so far looks like I might not be able to say no to a JB4 and DCI at least!

nice...say no to the dci....at least for awhile.

Other things that would be more worthwhile for that money. Also talk to Uddubbadger or Blacksheep about the Eurocharged or Cobb tunes respectively before jumping into a JB4. If after that discussion, you still want a piggy go for it.

Not trying to start a tune war here. Just that JB4 gets alot of talk esp in the gen forum. Just asking the op to make an informed decision either way. I for one run EC and would run Cobb in lieu of, but that is me.

Thanks for the info, that's why I am here! I have checked up on a it a fair bit but havent seen anything detrimental in regards to running the piggbacked jb4 vs. a flash. I am open to hearing some debate on it though. As far as staying local and going with the flash, I know a good friend of mine knows Jerry and Jake over at EC. Though the jb4 seems more appealing at first glance with the diverse map offerings and ability to change on the fly. Any particular reason you guys would recommend flash vs. piggy back?

I currently have Cobb installed and it has been great , no problems what so ever
For curiosity purpose I bought a procede v5 ver 3 over the weekend it's on it's way this week,
I got it mostly because I'm looking to go with e85 w/ a flex fuel kit later after FBO
Will comment on differences in a week

Thanks, I will be very interested to hear what you think of the procede and Vishnu's stuff. That was the first option I saw and seemed very appealing to have it in the car. Then I came across quite a few posts with some major negative feedback about pricing and performance from them and how they all suggested the jb4 from BMS.

I plan to run an e85/93 mix at some point, and like the idea of having a flex fuel sensor in the car for the ecu to know exactly what its working with, but cant help but be cautious with what I had heard of Vishnu, and the fact I have to tap a fuel line to install the flex fuel sensor making it quite a bit harder to hide from the dealer. Also it seems like the JB4 is by far and away the most versatile with on the fly map changes and its overall design. I have some experience with ethanol, very good friend of mine has a 950+hp supra running pro efi w/flex fuel sensor.

Congrats on the coupe! Nice long drive back home too Cobb is quick to flash, had it on my 135 and loved it, and they now have race maps for e85! I would've otherwise recommended JB4 for meth. One more to think about is the GIAC tune and they have a local distributor. I believe the Berk and ER time attack cars run the GIAC tune. GL.

Thanks again, I was so excited to jump on this car when I saw it. I had actually arranged for shipping of a sapphire black metallic coupe from virginia the day prior. When this popped up I realized I can't think of ever seeing a Leman's blue 335i around in ages. The M-sport and color I felt really made it stand out from the 10-15 3's I see every day while heading to/from work.

Thanks, I checked out your website, pretty nondescript but I suppose you guys do msotly custom work? One thing I can definitely ask about that would be out of my realm of capability. I know that sadly, we do not get LSD's in these cars. Have you guys done them? What does it usually costto get one into a 335i coupe?
