Steering wheel airbag + drivers seatbelt disable coding
Installed an aftermarket Momo steering wheel on the e90 (no airbag, sensors are not plugged in)
does anyone know the steps to code out the driver airbag and seatbelt warning (assuming it’s from the airbag harness plugs not being plugged in) in ncsexpert? Is there a way to do it without disabling the passenger side airbags? Thanks |

Ok so use resistors. Thats all i can say. disabling those will come right back on.
This will get rid of your DSC Light, Traction Control Light, Red Brake Light, and Airbag Light. Redo your SZL in Tool32 if you need to. |

Here is how I had the resistors wired up. I originally had some wired where the quick release was, but there is not much room and turning the wheel eventually disconnected them. I tapped into the wires in the column instead which gives a better resukt.

Just another dead end forum. Literally zero help here. OH and btw, those are 8, 10ohm resistors wired in parallel which add up to 2.5ohm of resistance. Why you used 8 10 ohm and not just one 2.5ohm is beyond me since I have little experience with electrical circuits and the terminology. I just want these damn lights gone and I can’t get a straight answer from anyone. Not even in the coding forums where everyone claims “just code it out it’s an easy 5 minutes blah blah blah” but nobody wants to take the time to actually write up a how to or it seems like nobody actually knows. About to just buy a $200 airbag and install the sports steering wheel that I found in the trunk when I bought the car. Last edited by E90_slides; 01-16-2023 at 10:43 PM.. |
