Which cable in 2023

Hi,

Trying to work out which cable will be the best for me.

2010 325d e91 lci with N57 engine

Is this the one I want?
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/144466892...mis&media=COPY

Also I just installed INPA but noticed the E series doesn’t have the N57 in engine section? But it is in the F services part? Just use that or?

That one has the FTDI chipset, is that the best one?
Cheers
Andy

People have trouble with the Diesels not being there to .
There are some threads here on how to add files to Standard Tools
that do not contain the common motors.

Your link doesn't go anywhere
Bimmergeeks K/D can cable is the defacto go to for K/D can cables
here.

Pricey, but I bought one of these:
https://doitauto.de/k-dcan-usb-premi...d-otg-fuer-bmw
It's been flawless through all coding and programming I've done in the last 5 years... Protool, inpa, ncsexpert, tool32, perfekt toolbox, etc etc

I use the bimmergeeks expert cable. It's probably the best cable you can get. I regret not buying the bundle for $249.99 for software and BT connection.

$79.99 Vs €99.00, plus shipping...which is $17 to the UK for bimmergeeks. BG still probably cheaper, but not by a huge amount. Though maybe buying the protool bundle would be the best bet overall.

I don't know enough about the cables. But that seller has only 104 feedback and 97% positive...not stellar by eBay standards. I'd cough up the extra for a known good cable, personally.

are we really still in the dark ages with cables that need switches ?

for the coding tools most apps moved to BT connection - with quite a few that are now approved to code big boy BMW stuff

Looking on their website the pro cable (cheaper one) comes in at $70 believers I think and correct me if I’m wrong but it’s just a bit slower by 10% or am I missing anything else?

What seems nice about the BG cable is it can do XHP too.

If that listed XHP in it too I’d be sold but that seems a bonus of the cable at the minute?

KWP2000*
D-CAN
UDS

OBD-2 protocols

ISO9141-2
KWP2000 slow init
KWP2000 almost init
CAN 11bit/250kB
CAN 11bit/500kB
CAN 29bit/250kB
CAN 29bit/500kB
