CIC retrofit - navigation stuck on starting splashscreen
Hey guys,
I have recently purchased a 2007 E91 and have taken a nosedive into the world of retrofitting. A bit of history on the car, the vehicle is a RHD Japanese Import. Originally it was equipped with a Japanese CCC HU (minidisc player and hdd sat nav drive in the boot, see pic of drive attached). I have already installed the CIC HU and have coded it using both Tool32 and NCS expert. I have patched FSCs using SWT patched v2. The Vin on the CIC now matches the vehicle and fsc codes successfully accepted (confirmed via FSTool). I have also matched VIN using Tool32. The issue that is occurring is that whenever I click onto navigation, the screen displays “starting navigation system” along with a loading circle. I have left it for around an hour and the system doesn’t get past this. Everything else seems to be working smoothly (vehicle info, settings, multimedia). I had downloaded European maps and also generated FSC code to insert once the navigation asks for it however it fails to load. Have any of my fellow DIYers or professional retrofitters come across this issue??? Any help would be greatly appreciated as I really want to keep the vehicle as oem as possible. Thank you in advance for any input. Best regards Zaman |

There is an idrive subforum here.
Sounds like a bad hardrive It should boot up all on it's own with just 12 volts. https://www.e90post.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=122 |
