Aftermarket Oil Level Sensor

What's the consensus on aftermarket oil level sensors? Hamburg Tech is $125 vs genuine BMW at $208. I'll be doing my oil pan gasket in the spring and in the event that my original is brittle/fell apart, I'll have to buy. Not looking to spend money where I don't have to. I usually get genuine BMW parts for critical components. DISAs, solenoids, PCV, etc.

I'll be using genuine BMW oil pan gasket and hardware. Other single use nuts/bolts/front diff seals for the project will also be genuine BMW.

No personal experience but i do recall e90post readings on strange behaviour with non-OEM oil sensors.
