N52 Supercharger.not Just Another Thread

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Hello Everybody, before anybody starts arguing with me about how supercharging a n52 motor is wrong please just listen and if you have nothing good to say then just go your way. I have a bmw 325i e90 with some type of sports package on it. My parents bought me the car as a graduation gift and it has a certain sentimental value to me. I am not looking at trading it in for a bmw 335 even thought that is the obvious choice since I want Forced Induction. I am looking at putting a supercharger running about 5-8 pounds of boost. This car is just a weekend car so the engine will not really running hard. I am planning on changing the cluth next month to a stage 4 or a stage 3. Now down to what I need help with. I was looking at a vortech supercharger possibly some universal and custom with a custom fuel managment system . I want everything in the car to be done neat and correctly. Can somebody point me in the direction of a shop with a reputation that would be up to doing this? I was looking in to the arma supercharger but I have gotten no Reply. thanks for any help possible.f

They is currently no setup for the N52 and to make a kit for it would be really really expensive...Call maybe Active Autowerks and see what they can do for you, with the right amount of money anything is possible, but at what cost

VAC Motorsports (Philly) could do it, ACM (North NJ) could prob also.

Supercharger options are ARMA (http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=368899) & MM Motorwerks (http://www.mmotorwerks.net/component...ct/view/12/145)

Also, this thread is in the wrong section of the forum.

I'm sure it can be done but don't expect your engine to last very long. The N52 is a light engine made and it's block is made aut of magnesium and aluminum. I doubt a supercharged engine like that would last.

And BTW sports package does not really mean a thing.. Sports package is jsut sports springs, sportier wheel, and your speed limiter is set to around 150mph; it does not make your can any faster.

Also what you are asking for will set you back quite a bit. We are talking a bill well in the thousands.

Meh...sell the N52 powered car, and buy an N54/N55 powered car. It will be cheaper than trying to supercharge your N52

I hate to saw this dude, but you might as well look into getting an N54 swapped into the body of your 325i.

This will likely be cheaper and more attractive in the long run since you can tune and call it a day.

You'd be way better off getting ETS to release their turbo kit they made for the N52 and finding a standalone to tune it like proEFI

+10000000

You can buy N54 Engine with turbos used with low mileage for $3,000 - $4,000 if you look in the right places. At least N54 engine was designed to handle boost and will last.
