KEYFOB

I have a 2008 E 91 I have just bought a new rechargeable battery and sold it on to the board, but the key will still not work in the central locking. It does however start the car is there a way to re-sync this?

Yes both keys start the car BUT neither keys will open or lock the door….

So I bought a battery and fob, and soldered the battery to the board now it does start the car BUT doesn’t lock it or open it

then you need to check wiring in right grommet between rear glass and rear door
this is well known place where wires breaks and remote key module under spoiler stop to function (enable open and close car remotely)

You can lock the car manually still.
