If the camera has a manual mode that lets you manually open and close the shutter (called bulb mode) then it should be fine. A remote and tripod are handy aswell.

Light painting is good fun cause it normally takes a while to get a good shot but can make the car look great when you get it right

Yep any camera where you can set the shutter speed etc and manually focus will work perfectly 😄

I'll have to double check. It's an old camera I got for the lady back in 2010. It's purple so don't give me grief when you guys see it. Haha

Haa haa I'm sure it will work fine. Do you have a tripod for it? If not check if there is a hole in the bottom to screw in a tripod attachment plate

There is a hole. I remember had a tripod couldn't find it. Will search when when I'm home but it stands about 30 cm tall. No good with that aye? I'm not down to invest in a tripod until I see how this all works haha

30 cm tall is fine, just need something so prevent the camera shaking during the shot

(Weather Permitting) does Wed 18 Aug work for a light painting session for the guys in Melb?

I suggest a catch up for a pizza in Hampton, before heading to Brighton beach for the shoot?

Let me know
