As another from Mary's Land your write ups are exceptional.
You can make some change on the side, laying out, detailing and giving helpful hits in a map like setting for others to follow your trips for themselves. Shit, we would buy a couple. |

Rick, seems like a fun trip. Whenever I see your blue E93 it reminders me of our one and how much enjoyment they are. This looks like another fun trip on the western side of Pennsylvania. Must get myself out there again soon and look up some of these places.
Great story Rick really love reading these! Mark

I doff my hat to you sir, a terrific read with great pictures and historical significance, I thoroughly enjoyed every portion of it.
Was a little worried about you climbing that observation tower, you set it up very well.... "By now it was after 7:00 PM, I was cold and tired, and I was still hours away from home." I think you and I have that same 17 year old still in our heads urging us on when perhaps one should realise more sensible decision making is actually where we are at....or are we?? ha ha!! |

jeddo45,
Thanks--it's always great to make the home page. The views and replies come pouring in! My record so far is 109 replies and over 355,000 views for my tour of the ghost towns of the New Jersey Pine Barrens. Rick

Thanks! BMW owners use their cars for all sorts of purposes, including just general driving, track days, autocrosses, beautiful objects to be polished and displayed, foundation for modifications, etc., etc., etc. In my case, I love to drive, explore, and photograph, and my 335i seems like almost the perfect vehicle to get me there quickly and in style. And then the documentation of the trip is like the icing on the cake--I enjoy doing the write-ups just as much as the rest of the adventure! Rick

It's a pleasure, my friend! Stay tuned for the next adventure, which includes a ride in a biplane. A 1929 biplane! Rick

Thanks much, I appreciate it! As for the annotated travel map, that's a great idea. Other than the fact that I'm always anxious to plan and take another trip, rather than spending more time at the computer! Something to think about, anyway… Rick PS: In the meantime, if you ever want a .gpx file of the route I took, just let me know.
