I looked this VIN up via carfax, as if I owned the car myself, and on March 20th 2018 this guy hit 376,616 miles at a Walmart. No records since. But this man may have reached 400k before Efthreeoh with his N52.

Biggest issue is constant need for thrust arm bushings and alignments, most likely due to MN roads. Add the usual chassis issues like a driveshaft, all the wheel bearings at least once, lots of tires (and more alignments), and a could windshields... and here I am!

Was tracking a weird noise for years, replaced all belts/pulleys, even the ps pump. Finally realized it was the ac compressor. $40 for a junkyard part, and I'm honestly surprised how good it sounds.

Given how much it would cost to find a good 340i or M3, it just still seems to make sense to keep this one going.
Wow - 120k on an N54 water pump ! You definitely are in the top 1% of all N54 owners in terms of longevity. I got 108,000 on my original water pump. I'm nearIng the 71,000 mark on #2. I'll probably buy the thermostat & water pump this summer & change it out proactively.

How the fuck he did? Either he babied it, maintenanced it himself, or changed oil ever 1,000 miles and it never seen redline. I had a choice between a 328i 2009 84k or 335i 2008 with 90k. Obviously went with the 328i because of reliability, but now wondering if 335i power would have been nice?
