What is everyone's opinion on BMW doctor video on upgrading power and speed through programming using NCSExpert to chnage the power class?

I did the Bimmerlabs 330i tune to increase power. Is this needed? I ordered a 3 stage manifold which is coming soon and cannot wait! BMW doctor says this increases full power of the car and also removes the speed limiter or increases it. BMW wants to keep this a secret according to him to sell high trim cars.
Is the Bimmerlabs 330i tune enough or do we need to do this?

You don't need to change the power class!! Firstly it's not even *possible - it's locked on all DMEs that have it after 10 hours (MSV70, 80, MSD80, 81, etc).

The whole point of the 330i flash is it has the power class check disabled in the first place. If you did manage to change the power class on the CAS itself, the mismatch would still cause the 2FA4 error.

* Technically, it can be done - by writing a custom program that forces the hours to 0, you can then code the DME. However, that would be fairly pointless - you still need an RSA delete for that, and you need an RSA delete to flash a custom file, which you want to do anyway - so just ignore the power class altogether and flash the custom file.

I didn't watch the video but I know there's no way he coded in two turbos so I'm gonna agree that this guy is a bit full of it. "Unlock M power"--yeah, right. If anyone believes that I got some great land to sell em, just east of Chicago.

The OP posted this thread in the N/A engine section as well. BMWDoctor constantly posts clickbait videos with bad information. Just ignore everything he says. There are a lot of people on this forum with actual helpful knowledge.

I've watched this guys videos quite a few times and he is absolutely crazy. Notice he doesn't have any proof and doesn't ACTUALLY walk you thru any of the real step by step process.

In this video he suggest you make all these changes and in another video he basically says anyone who modifies their cars via tunes/software is a scumbag and deserves to have their engine blow up.

How about some actual proof like dyno runs, timed acceleration runs, or even a full step by step process...oh yeah he included none of that in any of his videos ever.

I actually commented on 1 of his videos where he stated that N54 tuners were all idiots and had no idea what they were doing. I pointed out that there are huge reputable companies like Dinan that develop tunes and have a super robust R&D quality and validation process and even make their tunes CARB certified and will warranty the vehicle with their tune/mods. He removed my comment of course because it directly conflicted with his "idea" of what a tuner does.

He might show those things but you have to join is club to see the private videos (for money, of course). But who knows what's really in them.
