Hello, I saw a post here complaining about hygiene.

I would like to share my pet peeve:

Do any of you get upset when you go to the checkout at the grocery (cvs, Walgreens, etc) and as the lady (invariably older lady) grabs the plastic bag and she starts licking her fingers to get the bag open?

Ugh. This sends me into the stratosphere. I usually catch a "licker" by watching the person in front of me and I will tell them "no bag please."

Lick. Lick. Lick them fingas!

If THAT drives you batty then you definately dont want to read up on the bacteria counts on reusable bags that folks hand to checkout/baggers to fill with groceries and THEN they turn around and handle YOUR food.....

Reminds me of one of the old Billy Crystal SNF skits:

Billy: I was sitting around the other day, not doing much, burning the hair off my arms with a magnifying glass, and I took one of those....

Billy: Yep. I hate when that happens.

I'm sure I messed it up, but it was hilarious at the time...

What does bother me is when the person at the register scans my item and then looks at it, stares at it, and then makes a comment about it, such as "wow, that looks good!" or "hmmm, what is this? I haven't seen this before." Just scan my groceries please, I don't need the commentary or your stamp of approval.
