Skunkwerks thread

4:30 am--heard some commotion in the corner of the yard. It sounded like someone was building a fence and I figured it was the coons rummaging around. Turns out it was a skunk, so I grabbed the phone to get a vid. Argh! Flash was off--turned it on and did a take, but the screen on the window caused a glare. I took the screen off and five minutes later there he was--as you can see I am pretty close to him. Video gets a little sideways at the end as I was leaning out the window trying to get more footage. Enjoy!

On the contrary my friend! He seemed pretty friendly and not too phased from the light I was shining at him. He also seemed to have gained a little weight. He must have found a good spot to set up digs near by.

Why do we say "he"...do we know that this is not in fact his pregnant wife that he sent back to jgoens property to have the litter?

You could be right--I don't know the gender. Remember, I have no problem with these animals in the yard for a visit and having a drink from the fountains--I just don't want them living under the shed. Now, that the shed is sealed off, there is not a place for them to live. The coons live in the storm drains.
