General question regarding MHD and waste gate rattle.

Is it possible to adjust the rattle without flashing a tune? Or does one need to buy and upload a tune in order to adjust waste gate settings?

It is an option when you flash a tune.

So yes you need to do a flash.
Any off the shelf tune will give you the option to adjust for wastegates.

In my experience changing wastegate settings can help reduce the sound but never eliminate it.

It is very easy to flash a tune and try it.

If anyone is wondering whether its worth replacing the turbos to fix rattle, I can say despite the costs involved it is hands down worth it.

I was lucky in that I never had wastegate rattle on my car, but have replaced the turbos on a number of cars with heavy/loud wastegate rattle and it really transforms the car. The rattle really makes the car sound broken and shit. In some cases the wastegates don't even actuate properly, so you get a nice performance boost too.

Ebay always has the 10% off sales, so worth picking up the turbos when the coupons are available.

10% additionally isn't it? Would Still be much cheaper even with the tax added vs buying locally.

Labour is the biggest expense for me (in wa atleast) everyone all quote atleast $2k for turbo install on this platform.

This is the seller who I got mine off. Was cheaper when I got it, price has gone up.

With the sales I think I paid 1750 delivered for the pair (I only was able to use the coupon code on 1 turbo). Then sold old 180k km turbos for $450.

Looks like current price is around $1911 delivered if you used 10% coupon codes on both.
