E92 Ebay Aero Front lip Review

I've seen a couple of these threads but, I'd like to start this one off on the right foot with big pictures and detailed info. I was going to buy an OEM lip for $365 unpainted, but I started searching and noticed these on Ebay. I saw a few positive reviews so I decided to take a chance, it's only $100 shipped so I wasn't worried about it, even if it was a total loss.

I ordered this lip Monday, the 26th, from BestRacingMotors which is a seller on Ebay. Today is the 28th 2 days later and the lip has arrived in perfect condition. The packaging was great no noticeable scratches or bending. It was wrapped in plastic and bubble wrap, then shrouded with a cardboard box and finally another surround of bubble wrap. It took about 7 minutes just to get this out of the packaging, which is longer than the 45 seconds it took to put on the bumper for mock up pictures.

Please see the pictures below and note that I merely placed the lip on with no screws or adhesives, no cleaning straight out of the packaging. It fits like a glove. Since I have a compressor and a spray gun, I'll go buy some paint and paint it myself in my garage for a total cost of under $200.

Why wouldn't it? I've painted before and know the paint code.

You are correct. The lip comes un-primed, it is made of black Polyurethane, pictured. The benefit of an OEM lip is that they come primed, I believe.

Hopefully I will have time to order the paint tomorrow and get it painted. I may take a couple pics to show the process.

Nice I think I saw the same thread as you did about these aero lips. I too was about to order from one of the forum sponsors but after seeing other positive reviews I took the plunge as well. I ordered on Sunday night and my fedex tracker says it is out for delivery, so I guess it will be waiting for me when I get home! Good to know that there is yet another satisfied customer out there. Unlike you tho, I will have to shell out for someone to paint it for me...

Nice man, people give eBay a really bad rep...but I bought so much for my cars on eBay and never had any issues....

Please update after you paint this thing. This would be a very attractive alternative to paying for OEM or Rep from a vendor

I just ordered one as well.. Took 3 days to get here. I'm out of the country so I winters it until the 5th of August.

Today I purchased paint/supplies and sanded/prepped the lip for paint. I'll probably paint the lip on Saturday when I install my new Eibach springs.

nice price, egay is just hit and miss depend on vendors. I do love egay items thou, you can have money save and spend somewhere else.
