Source to match trunk liner for sub box

I'm making a box for the trunk that will fit directly behind the rear seats. Vented 12" to fire through a passthrough that we cut. The box will be removable and will actually be the easier part to accomplish.

My question is: does anyone know where I can find some material that's matched to the stock trunk light great interior liner (2011 E90 328i LCI sedan)? Someone has got to have done this before.

Thanks in advance!

Had a sealed enclosure before and this just hits so much better!

Good luck!

Doing a ported through the passthrough. I'll post pics when I have time. But tryibg to make the trunk look as normal as possible. My setup looks great on paper but stock (nothing to looks at) when you get in.

Maybe just get a trunk liner from a wrecked car and cut it up as needed?

Curious to see how it turns out.

I previously had a sealed box built in the storage cubby under the trunk floor.

Completely invisible/stealth but still sounded good!

Forgot to post, but the results area great but unremarkable in a good way. Had a shop source some material and build the false wall. Sub is enclosed in a box that is pressed against the passthrough port with a few brackets. Wall is attached to that. With the 12TW1, the box could be wider and thinner so it still left me with decent trunk space. If you look really close at the pics, you can see I still retained a few inches well before the trunk bottom hinge.

Material used had the right pile. Right amount of black strands and pile consistency. However it was a little light. We had researched some blending additives, but in the end, what worked was some typical black spray dye lightly coated layer by layer and combed in until it got about right. Right now, only a BMW owner might spot the difference, but its pretty damn close.

Shots have the screw holes revealed (matted well if you didnt know where to look). I'll shoot one later with the material pushed over the screws when I dump the tools out of my trunk. Shot lighting is a whole lot more revealing, but in person, all of it blends together well.
