Belt diagram
I just installed the upgraded aluminum power steering pulley and a new belt tensioner for some reason it seems like the belt is too short (which it's not) and I can't get it on the car.. I don't know if I'm using the wrong diagram or what but I just cannot get the belt on and help would be great.

Stupid question but you're cranking the tensioner back all the way? I've often needed to put some extra muscle into it since my breaker bar isn't very long.
Edit: I think it's the second one.

Yeah lol I pushed it so hard the old one stripped out... I know I feel stupid for even having to ask but I've never had problems with the belt until now.. I'm just wondering why I've found two different diagrams for the N54?

From what I've read the second diagram is correct. I guess there were issues with the belt hitting the subframe or something, maybe a few other things too. So it sounds like the first diagram may have been correct at some point, but no longer is.

An 18" power bar with a 1" 1/2 drive extension makes life easier when talking about the tensioner. |
