Yeah the menu isn't required so as long as you can access the newer FRM options and turn on/off the different options then all good.

I'm pleased having finally fitted the updated FRM I had sitting there.

Only when driving and coming up behind others I think. Most just love the look no matter what model they think it is I guess.

Thanks buddy for the very kind words. Certainly been a labour of love and there are still small things I'd like to do eventually. As I don't use daily anymore the modding has certainly reduced some what.

Keep saying it but will definitely be attending more meets from now.

The modding bug can be very addictive once you start so have to be careful LOL.

Easy easy.

Been a while since I’ve updated this.

Even though I don’t drive it as much as I used to I still got bored LOL.

Well that and the fact my wheel rack was looking a bit empty.

So decided a nice set of lightweight 18’s and Cup2’s tyres was the order of the day.

After looking round at what was available I decided that Apex Arc-8’s weren’t the way forward as quite a few people have them.

So I decided on Apex EC-7’s instead.

Think it looks good on 18’s and the ride is superb and the tyres work well.

Well me being me they didn’t last long

Saw a different set of 18’s offered on FB from Vivid Racing in the States and couldn’t resist. Always wanted BBS FI’s and these are forged and very similar but for a fraction of the cost.

Titan 7 T-S5’s:

Such a great design.

And decided to go r888r semi slicks too:

Finally got them on and tested them out:

The extra weight saving is noticeable on turn in and steering feel plus the r888r’s are superb.

Only issue was driving on them when the heavens opened as they basically become slicks with no grip at all

Also picked up another mod I’ve been after for a while.

Will update once fitted.

Thank you buddy for the kind words. Yeah she's certainly been fettled with lol.

I need to post up pics of the CF side skirt extensions I've just added and still trying to source the bumper ones. It's proving difficult with the rear bumper ones as mine is a hybrid so the M3 ones are too long and tried some M sport ones but they didn't follow the shape either .

Had a nice little photoshoot in Coventry on Sunday. Got some really nice feedback from passers by.

I’m really pleased the thread gets read as it certainly has been so much done to her over the years.

Glad it’s inspired too and given you some ideas for yours. Look forward to seeing yours progress.

Lol at wheels. Yeah I do have a bit of an obsession and get bored really quickly but to be fair I haven’t had all of them at the same time. Most has been 3 sets at one time. I’ve currently got 2 sets which are the Rays 57getters and the Titan-7’s.
Total over the time I’ve had the car I’ve run 10 (or is it 11) sets of rims.

Do you know what power you are making now? Any plans to up the power at all?

I discussed this with some non car heads in work today and showed them what you have done over the years, they seem confused and couldn't comprehend the reasons why. One good question that did arise was would it have been cheaper to put the n54 setup into an m3?

I see why you went this path but did it ever cross your mind to do that?

I'm more focusing more on getting the car ready for regular track use but this thread is just next level! reminds me of a similar build with my Subaru Legacy back in the day!

Currently about 430ish on the power front and yeah I have plans. I will be fitting meth as it will integrate well with the JB4. After that it's only really the oil cooler upgrade and some index12 injectors and then hybrids. But I'll see after the meth install how it goes. Thing is I don't really use her enough to warrant upping the power significantly as each time I do get her out she feels quick enough. The other thing of course is the ever increasing cameras etc and variable speed 'smart' motorways it's getting more difficult to actually use anymore than I have now.

So regarding your second question, I could have bought an M3 at the time and run one but as a daily I felt the engine would be a waste and fuel costs too. Then there is the question of modding them. I 100% cannot leave a car standard as it's just not in my nature, so then when you start to mod an M3, the costs rise extortionately due to the M tax lol. As an example, a secondhand Akra exhaust for an M3 is still £2.5k upwards, whereas the Akra I purchased for mine was £700. Brakes, suspension, etc are all the same in terms of just the mark up in cost. So that was one factor certainly.

Then there is the question of what can you really do with an M3 in terms of mods. Power wise there isn't much you can do without throwing serious money at them being NA'd, so supercharging etc are the only real avenue. As for the exterior again can't really go in too many directions.

Tbf though as you will have seen from the thread it was never my intent to fit all the M3 panels and go to this extreme with it. I wanted the CF roof as loved the thought of that on a non M car and got the roof for a silly price. The only real reason for the M3'esque exterior was because I bought the Rays 57getters (as a simple flip purchase to make some money on) but when I got them, I kind of had to keep them. So being M3 fitment and too wide for the standard body I went the route I did.
I've never wanted an M3 rep and hence the decision to keep my rear performance diffuser section and exhaust.

It's unique and individual which is what I wanted.

Figured I’d post up a couple of updated pics and kind of show the side skirt extensions. Also got the rear bumper ones being sorted and hopefully they’ll work well.

Just in the process of cleaning the engine bay and redoing some of the pipes and forge DVs. Plus fitting the Injen intake.
