Go for a drive tomorrow dude and give me a shout n tell me what mpg you get.
Is your mpg counter constantly changing or mainly stable?

Top man!
Start how you mean to go on,a 335D needs to be driven, not nannied,if you wanted economy you should of stuck with the 320D.

MPG will be pants in this weather anyway, but diesels love cold dense air,so once the weather clears, flick the DTC button once, and then feel the extra buzz that gives you!

Very nice. welcome to the e92 club
The very first drive back home when I picked mine up was on the slip road joining the motorway and I wanted to overtake a lorry. I was shoudl I, will I be able to etc as the dual lane became into single in a short distance. Put my foot down, and the first thing I said Fu** me that is rapid - I was literally not expecting to be pinned back into my seat

Hope you enjoy it mate, I look foward to your audio instal in this, if you need any help give me a shout (may not be able to help audio wise but I have replaced a few common engine parts)

With the MPG - have a look at the hidden temp to see what you are running temp wise re thernmostats. I tend to get around 30mpg around town plus it being colder my mpg drops. tbh I dont bother looking at my mpg anymore because the fun factor out ways saving fuel

I had just the exhaust tips replaced on mine, i think it finish's it off nicely as i did not want to replace the whole exhaust to give you an idea

Definitely don't need high economy but i thought i'd get at leaast 30-35mpg when thrashing it, this is what awbimmer gets. 20-24 is a bit low. But i don't know if its a problem or like you say a combination of the weather and having my foot planted Guess i need to drive like a normal person on a motorway and see what happens!

Will definitely try the DTC button, used to in the 320D. Never had it completely off though!

Thanks

Yeah that's exactly what i felt when doing that. You just get pinned into your seat. I love it!

Sure will probably have questions popping up and will give you a shout. Regarding my audio install, i would like to figure out how to put the morels in. Hopefully it won't be too long. The base system sucks

Yes i will have a look and i have seen a thread where it explains it. But what menu option should i check? Would it be oil temp or coolant temp etc...

Fun factor is brilliant. Can't stop smiling and i haven't even been able to push it 100% yet due to the conditions!!

That looks brilliant mate and is something which i want to aim towards as well. It's definitely on my list, looks so much better!

Does that come with the gaitor or not? I'd be interested if it did at that money but if it was any more for the gaitor I'm not sure i could justify it!

An pics of it installed in your car?

Hey Phil,
Yes that comes with the gaitor! Feels so nice! I don't have pics yet as I've not had my car for over 2 weeks now. Was going to pick it up yesterday since my audio has been completed but since it snowed, I have to wait few more days to collect it.
At that price, it's such a nice upgrade!

new 335d

as above, very nice purchase! got myy black 09 335d m sport 6 weeks ago, and also think the mid-range in DS is ballistic. find the throttle heavy compared to the 335i though, although i do have a foot injury. my mpg is rubbish also, lowish miles but 22-23. better than the petrol, but not that great. enjoy!!

Thanks grappler. DS feels like warp speed to me coming from a 320d! But only used it once yesterday as the conditions were ok, today no chance!

These comments have made me feel happier now. I thought there might be a problem as i was expecting 30+. But to be honest i have been flooring it, stop start in town. Plus i'm sure the snow makes a bit of a difference? I'm going to go London mid week so i'll see how that goes.
