2006 330xi 42k miles -- $24,900 CPO. Thoughts?
Hey team, I'm new the forum, and this is my first post. I'm a huge fan of this community and I've been reading/researching for almost eight months now. Decided on the 2006 330xi, and I've simply been waiting for the right package with the right price, from the right dealer. I have a solid grasp on what's affordable and what would over-extend me, financially. I've test driven an '05 325xi, '07 328xi, '06 330xi, '07 G35, and '06 IS-250. So with all that said, hopefully I've done all my 'homework' to justify making it up to this point. This link lists the car as $24,999, but that was before the car was 'officially' certified. When I went to the actual dealer, the car was listed as $25,999. So the priced increased (between listings) before I made first contact with the dealer. This link is the ad from cars.com. Summary: CPO'd sport, premium, cold weather, 6MT, titanium silver with gray leather, 44.2k miles, new continental RFT (I think this is manditory for CPO), 60% brake pads remaining, body is in excellent condition, carfax is clean, 0.9% for 48 months, test drove the car twice and it appears to be 'legit', and last (but not least) I am satisfied with the degree of rapport between the dealer and myself. Negotiated, but not final, price is $24,900. I would love to hear your thoughts and answer any questions. Thanks, suey |

looks pretty good (personally not a fan of silver/grey lthr combo) but I'd obviously try to talk them down a little bit. search for a few more similarly equipped similar mileage 330xi's and you'll probably see some around $23k and can use that to help negotiate.

Sounds good, 23k was the number I had in mind too.
The dealer showed me the 'price we acquired for' document. Apparently this dealership prefers to make $2500 per sale. The financing option expires on Tuesday evening so I'm hoping they'll try to close me hard. Wish me luck! |
