My car is a February production and came with v25.00. TI worked fine, but I could never get VR to work (nothing happened when I pressed the button).
I have never seen TI+, it's always TI at the bottom. But it works fine.
I found the speed limit function in the Navi settings. But I wouldn't be surprised if BMW fixed something and broke another. For now everything seems to be working fine, and I find VR useful.

IIRC, my navi used to display T1+, but after the update it now shows T1 only. NOot sure if that matters. Fortunately, I believe I am still getting up to date information, despite how woefully inaccurate it may be.

When there is a snag in traffic, sometimes it shows up a new window asking me if I want to take the detour. Looks cool, but not sure it is more enabling than previous version.

Now it seems like anytime I set a new destination, the Navi says "RESTRICTED AREA" or something like that. Are others getting this?

just checked i have a TI in the screen. is there a difference between TI and TI+?? this is for the rtti?

TI is shown at the bottom of the screen where you see the phone connection icon and the time. TI stands for Traffic Information but I dont know the difference between TI and TI+. After a 25.00.04 update I lost the + and only get TI but no traffic shows up on the traffic information screen (in nav area). By the sounds of things 25.02 - including 25.01.01 update - fixes the traffic information.

Anyone know the difference between TI and TI+? It would be nice to know what I am missing since the 25.00.0x update.

EDIT: Just saw your latest message. Yes, TI refers to RTTI. I can only assume there is a difference between TI and TI+. I dont have enough info on TI to know for sure.

I got the same message today when I was going to a friend's house. I think if the destination is in an area with private security it says that it's a restricted area. I don't know what the idea is though.

"Caution - your destination is in a restricted area" = your destination ends on a private road (no public maintenance). There are lots of destinations like this, it's not a problem.

stopwatch is a very cool feature. i usually try to beat my time from palisades pkwy from exit 15 to the end whenever i have to go to jersey lol.

Nevermind, I am aware of the speed limit option. When I read the post about speed cameras I was naively thinking that road speed limits might be embedded information in the nav unit that might be displayed. That might be a cool feature, but I think it's better for BMW to focus on a good POI search function first.

They usually put it on the post-service report & it's in the form of Exxx-xx-xx-xxx

Hi Guys.
Had my 335d coupe since Dec 06.
No worries really, was informed about a software update being available so booked my car in and got it back the same day and the service guy told me (very arsey he was too) that there was no newer software update from when my car was supplied.

Also, my Nokia N95 has never worked with my bluetooth (old SE) fine with no problems. Does anyone else have a N95 working with their E92.

I am hoping a new software update may make this work.
Tired of using the hands free kit! when i have paid for a car with bluetooth!!

Any tips appreciated.

what are you guys saying to get the program update?

ive mentioned two legitimate problems ive been getting, loss of popup arrows in navigation, and loud noises coming from the CD drives. i said there was a bulletin for this and it was the update of the idrive program.

and they said i need to bring the car in. im afraid they will refuse to update my idrive.

Take a copy of SI B 84 61 06 (attached) with you when you go in. The SIB acknowleges the problem, and acknowleges the "fix" would be coming in March 2007 . The "fix" was finally included in Progman 25 (better late than never). If you have the problem (as you state that you do), then the "fix" is a warranty issue. They must load the Progman to fix the pop-up issue.

i'm having the same problem with not getting the latest software updates as well. i originally brought in my 325i for the steering colum to be fixed (ELV error msg) and i told them that my iDrive is extremely slow to respond and would dim in and out..

colum replaced/fixed..

but software issue.. they said their tech guy looked at it and couldnt duplicate the problem (of course) and that if it happens again to try to bring it back and duplicate it to them

i then asked my SA to see if she can check my car's latest software to see if i am getting the latest update available, perhaps that would fix the slow iDrive.. she said she orginally had the tech guy double check the software.. no new updates.. and had the shop foreman check. and he said their were no new updates.. so what the heck?? i know the car came in with no updates that i am aware of.. my car was built in October 2005.. dont know what Progman version it had then..

any advice on what to do? i'm due to pick up my car tomorrow.. i would hate to keep on coming back with teh same problems or other problems. thx for teh help

To date TI will only be avail. on newer E9X's. There is hardware needed to use TI that software alone will not do

Drop my car on Tuesday - pick up on Wednesday. Tires were replaced same day - Progman 25.xx take more time. (According to my SA latest 25.what ever)
All for 4 tires was replaced for free (+ 328i rent-a-car -> )
Progman, well next day at lunch time I get to the car to change my EQ settings - and NAVY freeze, no BT, no music

My service center 10 min drive from my work - start the car and on my way to dealership computer reboot twice and everything start working again. I turn around and get back to work. This was my first time issue with freezing, it's never happen before.
It looks like BMW IT start working like Microsoft - every week new patch that fix one thing and break three others.
