MHD Boost Reading

I just flashed stage 2+ on my 335xi. This is my first N54 so sorry if I my questions are dumb. I'm going through my boost psi gauge and at idle I'm about -9 to -11. Then the max is 9 boost psi when I get on the throttle. Then I switched over to the boost target psi where I'm hitting 16-18 psi when I get on it. Are my numbers looking low? And which boost gauge should I look at? Btw I have no codes or shadow codes.

Post a log.

The negative numbers off throttle is normal.

Target PSI is what your tune is trying to hit. We need a log to see actual psi and wether your turbos are struggling or not, or other issues present.

If you're only hitting 9psi when targeting 18psi (which stage 2+ should be) then you likely have a boost leak or bad boost solenoids or vacuum lines. Check your chargepipe and intercooler connections. Then I'd check your vacuum lines.
I had bad boost solenoids but I would underboost and overboost.
As stated it your turbos have high mileage they might not be capable of reaching target boost but I'd imagine you have a boost leak somewhere. Post logs first.

Negative boost while not on throttle is normal. 9 psi on target of 18 is low, so as other have mentioned definitely post logs. Should usually be no less that 2 psi under target.

Also, I don't mean this as any insult, but since these are fairy beginner questions, I'm little concerned that you have a stage 2+ flash already. Did you already do supporting mods (FMIC, DP, CP, maintenance, healthy coils/spark plugs)?

Are you getting a 30FF when yo got WOT? If you're 9 psi below target it should be throwing a code...

Yeah I'll try to get a log soon. Yeah the only reason I went stage 2+ is because its FBO, oil just got changed aswell as coils and plugs, and I'm running index 12's. I appreciate the concern though.

Yeah no codes. I was before, I believe one of the hoses to my bob was loose but I haven't gotten a code since

Nice, well looks like you have your ducks in a row.
Sample boost log from 3rd gear pull. Granted I'm on a Dinan S2 w/ stock DP's.

Agreed, op needs to eliminate any possibilities of boost leaks first, all vacumn lines need to be replaced if not done recently , boost solenoids need to be checked and replaced if needed, chargpipe/connections etc.
