Does it have sports seats, sport steering wheel, etc? The package is termed "ZSP". If you don't have it you want it, depending on how violent NYC potholes are on your back.

Stressdoc you have any side pics of your e90 with the performance suspension and springs? Just bought the suspension still trying to figure out if i want the performance springs or go after market.

Thanks!

I believe this is on the VIN plate on inside the drivers door or under the hood. Not sure which but it is one of those.

Only pics I really have of the drop. Should be the same no matter what shocks you run, but this is what my H&R sports looked like. Still need to align it and I think that'll help the back drop just a tad more.

Yeah, there was a whole bunch of posts with pics on this when the kit first came out and several of us installed it. There is a bit of variability from car to car, but most cars showed slight drop from ZSP, about 5 - 10 mm. Might depend on which yellow Perf springs you got.

IMO the best solution here unless you are anal about sticking with BMW parts is to get higher quality Swift springs. Surely Harold can recommend a good match.

Broken record here, different strokes for different folks etc., but I would strongly recommend against "dropping" the car for appearance. The point of a BMW is the handling. Why fu#%^ up the engineered design of the suspension? Do it right.

Do these fit an E92? I know KW coilovers are interchangeable from E90/92 (non-xi of course) because I'm running E90 V1's on my E92 right now but thinking about going for a "simpler" OEM set up. TIA!

Edit: According to RealOEM, both the E92 and E90 performance suspension (the whole package including sway bar) is part no 33500444832. If this is true, this clearance set up should also work for E92's. Thinking about ordering to find out.

good point
my car is running the perf struts with perf yellow springs setup and i can barely tell if there's any drop on it. most people told me to drop it more by putting in some coilcover. i was thinking there's gotta be a reason why bmw engineered their suspension setup at certain height. and doesn't like generic aftermarket suspension, bmw perf has different springs design for different setup ie auto/manual, coupe/sedan etc.

+1 for the same setup. I bought a BMW because of the performance of the vehicle. Despite some of the niggles (some bigger than others), it is hard to argue with the way these cars work right out of the box. I am not sure of a lot of things, but I can assure you that putting this kit with either zsp springs or perf yellow springs enhances the already stellar handling of the vehicle. The yellow springs give a slightly more agressive stance, but it would not make someone happy who is looking for the car to be "tucked, slammed, ridin' on rails" etc. But if you bought your car to drive it stick with function over form....

Was thinking of doing the same. I'm currently at 22k miles. At what approx mileage does stock stuff "get soft"?

It is hard to say an exact mileage, as so much of it likely depends on how the car has been driven. But, if it is daily driver that sees a mix of crummy urban streets and highways I would say 50-60k would be the time to replace your struts and shocks. Not saying the old stuff would really be completely worn out at this point, but they would definitely have loosened up a bit.

Yup, 50-60 is when it really starts getting "squishy". It's alot more pronounced on other cars, with a BMW it's more of a gradual decline. I ordered mine and i'm really looking forward to getting the car buckled down again, the way it came new.

What's the difference between this version and the NEW version mentioned in the description?

Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."

Does anyone know if this will fit E92? I need a new rear shock because mine is blown and this package is about the same price of a single shock alone.

I think if you look up the part number in www.REALOEM.COM, that's the normal everyday price. You can probably call around and get a cheaper price.

This kit will not fit the E92, but the new kit will. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=230208

What $133.06!?!? That's not everyday price for an entire oem performance suspension kit. One aftermarket performance shock/strut cost more. If anyone finds it cheaper anywhere else, please inform the rest of us.

Are you sure it wont fit the E92? Because on the link you posted above, it said that the E92 kit is compatible with the E90.

So theoritically this kit should fit too, correct?
