He said he'd be happy to help out and that I could pass his name along to you guys. He's willing to do on the side for us and it looks like it can be for as good a price as you can find around. Thing is, he's pretty busy so its not something where a ton of us can meet and to a "group day" type of thing. I think he'd be able to do a couple cars at most on any given day that he'd have available.

He asked that if any of you are interested, to just PM him only and then you can work out on your own when you can meet with him individually according to his schedule.

I'm hoping to meet with him either this weekend (14th-15th) or the following, and he'll knock $50 off the price for each car if he can do two cars instead of one in the same day. If any of you guys are down to possibly meet with me this weekend and we can both get it done, pm me and let me know!
I am in,
maybe he can clean my vanos solenoid while at it :-)

Hey guys. I am located in Wallingford for the Walnut blasting service.

Like mentioned, I am extremely busy so if you want it done, please be patient with me as I do this on the side at my shop @ nights and weekends outside of my fulltime day job. I can do one car on a weeknight and willing to do 2 cars max per day on a weekend. Please PM me for further info and I can take care of this for you guys. Right now I am booked out atleast a week or 2 with "stopper" being first in line.

I just wanted to pop in again and give Dave two big thumbs up! If any of you guys are on the fence about getting it done, don't be. Dave's a great guy, very knowledgeable, and did a fantastic job. Definitely shoot him a PM and just be patient with his schedule.

My carbon buildup wasn't quite as bad as some of the worst I've seen on here, but it was still pretty damn nasty nonetheless. I'm definitely noticing less hiccups during idle, and especially during acceleration. The buildup of power just feels smoother now with no momentary hesitations through the rpm band. I don't have good pics of all 6 ports because my phone was being a royal pain in the ass, but here some before and after shots of the worst banks.

I walnut blasted the valves on my car about 6 weeks ago and even though it wasnt too hard, it was time consuming (my first time completing it). I did it with the BMW blasting tools and some carb cleaner and the before and after are like night in day as far as how dirty the valves were compared to afterwards. The hard part was dealing with the "evil black box" but I'll be doing it again once the time comes for another cleaning. I didn't notice an increase in power but definitely a smoother running engine.

I can loan out (for a fee) the BMW blasting wand, BMW vacuum attachment, and the media blaster tank with some walnut shells if anyone is interested. All you would need is to rent a 100 psi air compressor from your local tool rental company and obviously have the other basic tools for removing the parts on the engine to get to the valves. I live in Norwalk CT and can be texted at 203 952 7814.

Phil

Inspired by the recent discount price walnut-blasting threads by NY/NJ/PA shops, this thread is basically a feeler to see if anyone out there in Connecticut (whether it's an experienced individual or a local shop) can offer their walnut blasting services at a decent rate?

Does anyone know of any places in CT that already do this?

I'm sure there's a bunch of us CT guys out there that would love to be able to drive less than 3-4 hours round trip to get this done for the $300-$500. Who's looking for this besides me?

And in case some shop/person who can do this is watching, sound off if you're in CT and would be willing to have this done à la "group buy" style.
This might be out ur way but check out mpire performance in Hempstead li ny they do it for a decent rate

Hey Ernie, how many miles on your 2013 335i? I have the same year and curious where you're at with this as the N55's aren't supposed to have quite the same buildup as the N54's.

Also located in Stamford - maybe I'll see you around.
