Don't buy N52 silicone intake off of Ebay - it doesnt fit.

Just wanted to give a heads up to everyone not to purchase "Fit for 2006-2013 BMW N52 6cyl 3.0L Silicone Intake Inlet Hose Upgrade Black" off of Ebay as it will not fit correctly without leaking.

The airbox side is fine but the throttle side is way too big to clamp correctly and the bend is off too.

They want me to pay return shipping but hopefully they will pay for it.

probably a knock off of the original one (RM Racing or something?)

I have had mine installed since 2014 now without any issues.

Thanks for posting, hope you get the refund. Ebay is pretty good about that I've found.
ECS/Turner sounds like the way to go.

Yeah the seller replied with the standard "what is your model and year". Ugh. Just a waste of time dealing with stuff like this.

Report as "not as described" and seller will be forced to pay return shipping, no questions asked.

Can't see your photo's, but there may be an extra section on the intake manifold side that you may need to remove?

I tried with both that extra elbow removed as well as with it on and neither fit...still too big to crimp with the clamp. And with the elbow removed the silicone intake then isnt long enough. You could probably clamp it on but definitely not without the risk of air leaks

Did you cut off the alignment tab on the plastic piece before the throttle body? That'll help it align much better.

Yeah I removed the tab but that doesnt solve the issue...the ID of the silicone tube is too large for the OD of the throttle body. Clamping it creates a unround area of the tube where there will be leaks.
