Pbt-gf30 is a material, not a part number

Pulled the Exhaust Pressure Sensor before the turbocharger on my 335d to address a SAE 0471/BMW 048D1 plausibility code. The sensor portion of the part is labeled ">PBT-GF30<" so I assumed that was the part number.

I discovered that it is an acronym for polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) which is a fiberglass-reinforced plastic material used for housing automotive parts, among other things. That is why you see so many other folks searching or listing the same number for mass airflow sensors, MAP sensors, etc.

Closer inspection with a loupe revealed another part number "3319 21C" along with the "Made in Italy" mark. I could not find a pressure sensor that would correlate to "3319 21C" so I had to go with the readily available Facet brand sensor. OBTW, the stock one I pulled (have had the car since 21,000 miles) was Made in Italy as well so Facet may be the OEM...
