Any of your installer took your passenger side windows out to do the tint? i went to the one that recommended by my dealers and they said with the windows out, they can get a better result. But I am worry they might break some of the clips removing the door panel.

Is that tint the mirrored tint? I don't know what it's called, but there's that type of tint that has a slight mirror effect and looks really good with soem colors. I have mystic blue and was trying to figure out what color I should go with. Is there a recommended brand as well? I read every page and there is a lot of diversity. TIA!

anyone know what percentage the privacy glass is. im looking to get it on the back 3 windows only (damn IL laws) if any one has any pics with any percent tint on the back three only could you post them please. thanks in advance

I have OEM privacy glass in the rear and tint on the frontdoor windows.

See pics of that in post #197 (page 9) in this thread.

remmib how much did it cost to get it installed? i think the dealership quoted me 400 thought it was a tad much but thats what i get for asking the dealership. and was it a film or did they replace the glass itself?

You mean the privacy glass right? Here in Europe its an option from the factory and it's not a tint, the glass itself it darker. Here in Norway the privacy glass option costs about the same as getting the windows tinted.

No, but I guess 35-40% since they look pretty similar to my front tint, that's 38%.

this is my 2005 330ci - 5% all around and 50% on the windshield!

I like my windows BLACK! you can't see in, day or night for the most part!

damn 5% that shit is dark. but looks good. thanks for the help guys. thinking im gonna get 20 on my montego blue. but only the back 3 and maybe darker on the moonroof. if thats possible

what would people recommend for sparkling graphite in california? (legal limit is 70% light needs to show in the driver front windows))

I'm thinking 35% back, 50% for windshield and front windows?

Personally I think 50% for side windows would look too light. It looks like factory tint. I would get 35% all around or 50% just for windshield/35% rest. For spark G, I wouldn't get anything darker than 35% though.

I'm dying to see what a Blue 3 would look like with the reflective tint (mirror-look)... I think it would look sharp and unique, but don't want to be the first to try it, but I might... anyone seen one like that?

Just drove by Tint Devil (Miramar Road, San Diego).
Llumar GreyStone looks very nice. $399 for 5 windows + $200 for the windshield (50% or 70%)
Checked out Ceramic, but it looks waaaay too light plus costs $800 for 5 windows.

The guy said if anything, he would take the tint off front windows for $40 in case of a ticket. That, and Llumar has full nationwide warranty.

Does anybody have pictures of Huper Optik 30 on a TiAg Sedan? I am still trying to decide.

Also, is Huper Optik 30 "lighter" than other brands with the same VLT? How can that be? isn't VLT the technical term for light/dark?

Any experts here who can clarify?

15% up front and 5% in the back. Never got pulled over for the windows or not having a front plate in So Cal yet. My tint company will remove my tint and install new tint if I do get a fix-it-ticket at no extra charge. My girlfriend paid close to 5 bills for the tint!!!

I got the F1 Pinnacle 35% sides and rear from Artistic Solar Film in Birmingham, AL. Guys did good work and had me out of there in a little over an hour. Right around $300.

Yes, my car needs a wash. I had to drive to see a buddy who got called back into the army. The last picture is in front of the 250' towers at jump school. A place I hadn't seen in 16yrs.
