They service all makes and models. I found them very helpful, never used them before but farther Inlaw has used then for over 30 years so thought I would gave them a go. Will use them now for all my repair needs. There number is 01442 235412. Could save you money.

Hi mate, what year is your car, I need to do mine which is a Dec. 06 and apparently on a change-over of the DMF costing almost what you paid for everything......

Hi,
My 320d is a September 2005 model. Not sure about any change over just gave them the year and that's the price they came back with.

A clutch change is practically the same on any car.. It's super-basic mechanics and probably one of the first things you'd learn to do.

Making it pointless maybe paying a premium to have it done at a 'specialist'

If it came to diagnosing a niggling electrical problem I'd be going to the 'specialist' though..

Dear All, my E90 320D when I press the clutch down slightly it is making slight rattling noise..when fully pressed no noise. Did some research on internet and I understood it is the clutch release bearing. Further reading realised it makes more economically sensible to replace the whole clutch with the DMF considering the labour cost of the job. Anybody would like to recommend a BMW specialist in Coventry or Northampton area who could do this job at a reasonable cost? Thanks for your help in advance.

as said on many posts ,,you do not really need a bmw specialist,,any decent mechanic can do a clutch.. and yes it makes sense to change dmf and clutch at same time,if your selling it straight on then i wouldnt, but if keeping it then yes

Garage List
2010 BMW 320d  [0.00]
Just for comparison, the previous owner of my 320d had everything done at the main dealer. This included a new clutch and DMF at just under £2000!
Why anyone would pay that much I don’t know!
